The Huff Center at Furman University is dedicated to promoting a broader and deeper appreciation of the rich local history of Greenville and the Piedmont region of the South. In this effort, the Center supports original research projects by Furman students and faculty, as well as outside scholars; sponsors lectures and symposia on topics related to the history of the Piedmont; oversees internships for Furman under-graduates at local historical sites and museums; promotes the acquisition of relevant primary research materials by the Furman University Library; and encourages University faculty to incorporate local history into Furman's curriculum.
